BIOGRAPHY Jill Morley's critically acclaimed documentary film, STRIPPED, currently runs on the Sundance Channel and won "Best Documentary" at the Women's International Film Festival in Sydney. Theatrically, STRIPPED played at the Tribeca Screening Room in New York City (held over for two weeks) and the Sunset Laemmle in LA. It recently was screened at the Pioneer Theater as part of the Bust Magazine Film Festival alongside other award winning films. Heading the Paul Taylor Dance Company Video Archive project, Jill shot, edited, and directed the company's repertoire for their video archive. She also worked with Michael Moore as a producer and correspondent for "The Awful Truth," and with Brazilian director, Bruno Barreto, reworking dialogue on his newest film. Morley wrote and performed the critically acclaimed play, "True Confessions of a Go-Go Girl." It was produced in Manhattan for five years, San Francisco's "Solo Mio Festival," The "Texas Fringe Festival", LA's HBO Workspace, and opened Women's History Month at NYU. True Confessions is published in The Best Women's Plays of 1998. Other works are published in More Women's Monologues For Women, By Women, Millenium Monologues, Young Women's Monologues From Contemporary Plays and other collections. Her short story, "Teaching Rose" will appear in the collection by Russ Kick, Everything You Know About Sex is Wrong. A contributing writer to The Village Voice, Freshyarn.com, The New York Press, Penthouse, Inside Kung Fu, Martial Arts and Combat Sports, Shout Magazine and Gear Magazine, Jill also co-produced two radio documentaries for "The World" and "This American Life," which aired on NPR. She has been interviewed for "EXTRA", both in the United States and Germany; "A Current Affair", "WKTLA", "City TV" (Canada), "New Jersey's Talking", "Unsolved Mysteries", 104.3FM, The Sundance Channel, New York Newsday, Movie Maker Magazine, the books Red Light, $30 Film School and various other publications. Jill currently directs, shoots and edits for hire. She is a tennis pro and has a black belt in Taekwondo. |
